A Post-Workout Prayer

Movement is a gift and exercise, a privilege. We can honor God through our workouts, worshipping Him along the way. First, get your heart and head right with this pre-workout prayer. Next, allow this prayer to guide you during training.

After your workout, say this prayer:

Thank You, God, for this workout. Thank You for the gift of movement. My body is a temple for Your Spirit. (1 Corinthians 6:19) I honor You with my body. Return me to a resting state. Calm my breaths and settle my spirit in Yours. Repair what I broke down with your supernatural healing. Fill me with adequacy that what I just accomplished is enough. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Follow this with an exercise recovery prayer for in between workouts, when you’re sore, while you’re soaking in an Epsom salt bath, on walks, during stretches, as you lie down to sleep, or on the Sabbath.
